It performs on many substrates around farms, garden factories and houses, eg barns, stables, outbuildings, sheds, gates and fences. It's highly durable, with superb colour retention. Bedec Barn Paint can be applied to previously painted surfaces, even those coated with weathered bitumen, tar varnish or creosote, as long as there are no loose powdery deposits.
NOTE: Mahogany, Jacobean Walnut, Medium Oak and Dark Oak are semi-transparent, semi-gloss wood stains that stain the wood, rather than paint it a solid colour. Fences, gates, cladding (wood, metal, or cement fibre), farm equipment, tanks, drainpipes, gutters, doors, windows, weathered galvanising and plastisol cladding. NOT suitable for stainless steel, decking or existing water repellant treatments.
Brush or roller: approx 13-15m² per litre, airless sprayer 6-8 m² per litre. 4 Hours, fully hardened after one month. Brush, Roller, Conventional Spray, Airless Spray. Remove as much paint as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water.

Lightly sand smooth glossy surfaces to provide a key. Bare steel should be free from rust, scale and dust before applying Bedec water based All Metals Primer.Pressure treated timber should be weathered for at least six months before painting. E wood that has been left to the elements and has been degraded as a result - should be abraded to reveal new cells.
New planed, finished wood or PSE wood should also be abraded to open the grain and allow maximum penetration. On untreated weathered wood, new wood, cement, render, plaster, brick work or any porous substrate, thin the first coat with approx. New creosote should be allowed 3 months to weather. You do not need to etch or prime galvanised steel.
Allow new galvanised steel to weather for two months before painting. Please test a small area prior to application to ensure you are happy with the adhesion and colour. Apply with a brush, roller, conventional H.
Stir well and do not apply at temperatures below 8°C or when it is likely to rain before the paint has fully dried. Apply 2-3 coats to sealed surfaces, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly. Note: Spraying will significantly reduce the coverage achieved, depending on the type of sprayer used. Looking for more products like these?
